Turned out lights to sleep by: 1:00am
Guesstimate of when I fell asleep: 1:35am
Guesstimate of when I woke up: 4:50am
Had alarm set to: 8:35am
Got out of Bed at: 9:45am
Total Time I slept: 3 Hours and XX Minutes
A typical sunday night where I didn’t feel overly tired, but I hopped in bed and read a bit and eventually felt tired enough to fall asleep. I fell asleep without too much trouble, but was then wide awake around 4:50am. Not sure why, but I was up. I then was in a daze where I almost felt like I was awake while being half asleep and dreaming. It is actually a very annoying feeling because I need rest and want it, but this daze feeling doesn’t get good rest in.
I then got up at the alarm, but felt like I needed to get more sleep to feel rested so I snoozed, and then changed the alarm to a later time. Planning on trying to not do that the rest of the week!
I don’t know what it is, I think my mind is just so stressed out with work and personal life that my brain is on overdrive and just crunching away. I need to brush up and practice meditation and then breahting techniques at night to get my mind into a relaxation mode.
Tonight I will be turning my computer off before 11:45pm so I can get some quality relaxation time in to get my mind off of things and hope for a restful night. I will be using breathing techniques and affirmations to try for the best. Tomorrow i’ll let you know if it worked.
