4-3-09 - Not a great night of sleep

I got in bed around 1:15ish and read for a good while.   Wasn’t feeling really tired but turned out the lights anyways.  After a while I finally fell asleep, but remember waking up as if I heard a loud noise.  Not sure what it was, or if it was just a thought but I woke up more than once right when I was on the brink of sleep.  I then woke up around 30 minutes after falling asleep feeling really hot.  I eventually fell asleep after a while.

I then woke up around 6:00am, not sure why but got a drink. I managed to fall back asleep after that.  From 8:00am and on it was spotty and I was awake and half asleep.  Again, I probably should have just got up but I stayed in bed trying to get more sleep.

Last night was definitely not a great night, and i’ll hope to be off to a good start next week from Monday on.

4-2-09 - Slept well, but am a little tired

I hopped in bed and read for a while.  Wasn’t felling that tired when 2:00am came, but I turned out the lights anyways and fell asleep in a decent amount of time.  I can’t remember if I woke up in the night, but I do recall waking up at 8:00am from my dad making some noise.  I laid there will around 9:00am trying to sleep but couldn’t, and then I tried to put my ear plugs in but I wasn’t really tired enough. I laid there somewhat awake from 9:00am on till 10:00 and then got up.

I should have woken up around 8:30am I think when I first got up because now I feel drained still.  I also feel a little off balance, the feeling I usually feel when I don’t get enough sleep.  I have to try to get to bed earlier, and follow the rules on the weekends too.

Last night I had a great night of sleep.  I was really tired yesterday from being up on Sunday/Monday so I am sure that helped me stay alseep as my body needed it.  I passed out around 1:20 after reading for a bit, and the cat woke me up around 2:45am.  I got a drink, ate a cookie, and hopped back in bed to sleep.  I fell asleep quickly and didn’t wake up again until about 8:30am when mom and dad were talking and it woke me.  I managed to fall asleep till about 9:30 when people talking woke me up.  I laid there with ear plugs in till about 10:20 but I didn’t really sleep that last hour.

Overall, it was a great night of sleep (in my book) because I fell asleep quick, I was woken up but fell back asleep quickly, and slept a decent amount overall.  Nope, this is NOT an april fools joke :)

Try to keep up the going to sleep and reading, and getting a solid 6 or 7 hours of sleep.

3-31-09 - Good Sleep

I was real tired by the time night fell, since I was awake for a long time with just a little nap earlier in the day.  Once night fell I was tired but I didn’t want to go to bed right away so I watched a little TV in bed.  I turned out the TV around 1:00am and was passed out in less than 15 minutes.

I slept all night without waking up till the morning when my mom was talking really loud on the phone.  I managed to fall back asleep till my bro called about an hour later. I then was able to sleep about another hour until the power went out, and my 2 battery backups started to sound their alarm.  At that time I decided to just get up and begin my day.  I do remember having crazy dreams afer the first time I woke up, but I don’t remember what they were anymore.

I was letting myself sleep till whenever I wanted today since I had a rough day of no sleep but I figured I’d just get up after the power out issue.  I still definitely feel a little groggy so I am hoping to get to bed on a decent note tonight, and get a good night sleep.

3-30-09 - No Sleep

There was an emergency so I had to stay up all night.  I slept about 2 hours in the afternoon and then went to sleep at night.  Was up for over 25 hours till I napped for the 2.

Last night I worked till past midnight. I was making great progress and everything felt good so I decided to just keep on going.  Around 1:45am I was feeling really tired so I figured I would get in bed.  I received a new book today and I want to get it read within a few short days, so I stayed up to read it.  By 2:45am my eyes were nearly closing and I was dead tired.   I turned out the lights, but it still took me a little while to finally fall alseep.

I first woke up around 7:00am to some type of noise, maybe the people that rent upstairs?  Not sure if it was them the first time, but I know they made noise the rest of the morning till at least 9:30.  I finally decided around 9:30 to get ear plugs so I could try to get at least close to 1 more hour of sleep. I managed to dose off a tiny bit, but then got up around 10:40.

It is am amazingly sunny day so right when I opened the shades I started to feel better and awake, but overall I am really tired feeling today.  The best thing to do is to stick to the computer turn off time every night, and i’ll be more in tune to fall asleep.

3-26-09 - Got to sleep late…damn computers

I was working on one of my computers tonight at my office so I ended up staying there till about 11:00pm.  By the time I got home I had more stuff to do so I stayed up doing it.  Before I knew it, it was about 1:30am and I was way past my bed time.  My brain was turning but I felt tired since I had gone to bed earlier the 2 nights before.

I got in bed and eventually fell alseep. I put the rain mp3 on, but I wasn’t in the mood to get relaxed so I just laid there and eventually passed out.

I woke up around 8:00am and I couldn’t fall back alseep. My brain was racing with random thoughts and I was working in my head. Around 9:30am I realized it so I tried to tell myself to actually concentrate on getting sleep but by then it was late. I laid in bed till about 10:00am and then just got up.

Bad night last night. I HATE to be strict on the time I turn off the computers and get into my relaxation mode or else it is going to be hard to get my good habits back into motion.

I did so well for the first 2+ months of this year, and now I need to get back on it!

I managed to get in bed on an earlier note, and I read a bit.  After reading and listening to the ocean mp3, I turned out the lights. I consciously thought of keeping thoughts out of my mind as I tried to dose off. It probably took close to an hour before I fell alseep.

I then woke up at random around 2:00am and I eventually fell back asleep.  The next time I was up was around 6:00am. I woke up to the sound of my phone chiming multiple times. I then got up, got a drink, fed the cat, and eventually got back in bed.  At this time I was debating on staying up and starting to work, but decided to try to get an hour of sleep or so.
I laid there easily for an hour trying to sleep, and then eventually I did fall alseep. I then got up at 9:30am and started my day.

Good job on getting in bed, but staying alseep is the next challenge.

3-24-09 - Got to sleep early, but woke up later

I set my mind to it and fell alseep early.  I was out by around 11:45pm, but was then woken up by the cat stratching my door at 12:45am.  I fed the cat and got back in bed and was sleeping again within about 20 minutes.  I then woke up again around 6:15am to the sound of dad putting away dishes.  That kept me up for a bit, and I managed to dose off a little bit after that.  I was then awake from about 8:00am aand 10:00am as I snoozed, and set different times on the alarm clock.  I should have really just got up, but I felt lazy and laid there.  That is ok though because my body needed it, so tonight I will hope to get to sleep on time, and tomorrow be able to wake up on the alarm.

Last night I had a pretty bad night of sleep.  I got home from the store and didn’t feel like turning my mind with work, so I decieded to just relax and watch TV (something I never really do).  Ended up watching tv for hours, and was trying to get sleepy.  I had a lot on my mind and couldn’t get to sleep.

I finally turned out the lights around 4:15am and I laid there in a daze trying to get to sleep. I remember being up at all hours and I finally dosed off for some sleep probably past 6:30am.  I was then up around 9:00am or so and I laid there trying to get sleep.  My mind was racing while I was in and out of dreams.

I would say that I am completely off track right now, and I am going to force my good habits onto myself starting today so I can have a more productive and successful week.
