Last night was a great night of sleep. I hopped in bed around 12:15 and did some writing, instead of reading on a recipe I had in mind. By 12:40 I felt really tired and forced myself to stay awake until 12:45 and then I turned out the lights.
I would say it took about 10 minutes and I was out cold for the night. In the last few minutes of consciousness I told myself the affirmation “I am going to get restful sleep and wake up feeling refreshed”, and it helped.
Once morning came I dragged a little bit, but that is natural for me. I snoozed, and then set the alarm till later and tried to sleep a little more. Didn’t really work, but it felt good to lay there a bit. I got up, felt rested and great, and am going to hope to keep up the sleep before 1:00am routine.
